Fallowfield United Church has generously donated $22,400 to Upstream Ottawa to help our clients with transportation needs.

The donation by the church will cover the cost of Uber rides to appointments, services and events that advance the health of our clients.

The donation was possible due to the generosity of the late Lloyd Hope, an Ottawa businessman and farmer who treasured the church on Steeple Hill Crescent in Fallowfield, and wished to support charitable works in the community.

Fallowfield United Church is a historic church with beautiful stained glass, originally named Fallowfield Methodist Church, and built in 1886. The cornerstone of the church was laid by Sir John A. Macdonald.

This week Rev. Matt Gallinger (centre), of Fallowfield United Church, presented a cheque for $22,400 to Upstream Ottawa, represented here by Upstream board member Patrick Dare, left, and Executive Director Bo Turpin, right.
